Karen Deis started in the mortgage industry in 1972 and since 2000, has trained thousands of loan officers throughout the United States.
She works with legal teams, lenders and investors to assess mortgage fraud in residential lending. During her 28 years in the mortgage industry, she has been an FHA DE Underwriter, FannieMae & FreddieMac Underwriter, Closing Agent, Loan Originator, Branch Manager and Company Owner. This diverse experience has given her the ability to know every facet of the mortgage business.
Karen has been an mortgage expert witness in the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana and Texas. She specializes in helping attorneys, mortgage companies and investors determine which documents are missing from files, tracking and analyzing documents, and court testimony.
She is a member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers; served on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Mortgage Brokers Association, the Board of Directors for the Indiana Mortgage Brokers Association, and the Chairman of the Education Committee for the Texas Real Estate Commission.
